Surfside's Story

 

Surfside Church started in 2004 as a small group of youth, college students, and adults who wanted to start an energetic church that would be actively involved in serving the local community. The first public worship service was delayed by the arrival of hurricane Frances. So, the church's first official act was to serve people in the community by removing soaked drywall, clearing fallen tree limbs, and delivering hot meals.

Now entering it's 18th year, the church continues to serve Fort Pierce and the surrounding communities by providing support to families, caregivers, and professionals involved in child welfare- as well as participating in community service projects, clean up efforts, and partnering with other local mission agencies and churches.

Surfside is actively seeking those who feel called to start ministries, churches, and missions to reach the people of Fort Pierce, Port St. Lucie, and St. Lucie County. It is our hope to help resource these efforts and to work together in introducing people to hope and new life in Jesus Christ.
