What to Expect
On Sunday morning you can expect to enter a room filled with people of all different ages and lots of kids.
The people are dressed however they feel comfortable- shorts, jeans, dresses, slacks, fishing shirts to dress shirts.
The people are friendly, but might be a little shy. We all get to know each other over time.
Our worship area is comfortable but not huge. We seat about 50 people at a time in the sanctuary and have rooms for other activities.
We think it is better to use our resources in helping people outside the church, than using them on a big facility.
Various days during the month we meet for prayer, activities for youth and young adults, service projects in the community, and Bible discussion groups.

The Pastor
Mark Young founded Surfside Church in 2004 and serves as the senior pastor. He and his wife Terri married in April 1999. They are the parents of six energetic kids.
Mark is ordained by the Church of God (Anderson, Indiana), and has a Master of Divinity degree from Asbury Theological Seminary. He enjoys fishing, boating, hiking, and camping with his family.
